Business Development Consultant –Property Consultancy

•    Rapidly expanding  property consultancy based in Gloucestershire

•    Basic salary of up to £35k + £10k OTE + Company car

My client, an outstanding property consultancy, is on the lookout for an experienced B2B sales professional to come on board as a Business Development Consultant and help support with growth plans. Your role will have a big focus on identifying new opportunities, converting cold leads into new business appointments and closing deals.  It is therefore crucial that you possess a can do attitude along with outstanding relationship building skills. What you’ll be doing:


•    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast growing property consultancy. You will be developing new business by communicating service charge and property consultancy propositions directly to board level within service sector companies predominantly in London, but throughout the UK. The products will range from surveying, M&E engineering, project management, cost benchmarking, auditing and cost reduction exercises.
•    The candidates will need to be confident in approaching, pitching and closing new instructions by articulating the propositions effectively and managing the sales process, from initial contact through to close of the deal. Professionalism and tenacity are the hallmarks of our company and we will be looking to select a suitably minded candidate.
•    Identify and research future business development and partnership opportunities within the framework of the SCA’s business development strategy.
•    Identify potential bid opportunities and support pre-procurement / pre-sales engagement to maximise the ‘fit’ between specification and SCA’s offerings.
•    A key goal for this role is to deliver growth by identifying and creating closer synergies and ties between potential long term clients and referral partners.
•    This is a national role with potentially a considerable amount of travel to London and elsewhere in the UK, so the candidate can be based from home. You will however need to make occasional visits to the office at least twice a month.
•    The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be able to articulate over the phone and in person to clients.
•    The candidate must be highly ambitious, determined to succeed and have a strong track record of achieving growth.
•    You will have the opportunity to make a considerable difference to a business that is embarking on some real change with regards to Business Development and the opportunity exists for further career development within the role over a period of time.


What experience you will need:

•    The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of 5 years sales experience and a track record of success within a      BD role.
•    You will be an analytical thinker 
•    The ability to build new relationships at director level and maintain these for future business
•    Excellent networking skills, gaining referrals and potential clients.
•    Excellent questioning, qualification and closing skills – A keen eye for detail!
•    The confidence and tenacity to pursue leads, overcome obstacles and secure deals.
•    Capable with online prospecting ; Google, Linkedin, social media, press releases and various means of             gaining an insight into a prospect prior to contact.
•    A pro-active, tenacious working attitude.
•    Very high level of commercial awareness.
•    Knowledge of MS-Office tools, principally Outlook, PPT, Word and Excel.
•    Excellent written and spoken English skills
