This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing software company based in the heart of Bristol who are really changing the way company’s work and utilise their employees and the way they can bring innovation to the forefront of the company. As a Business development manager you will be responsible for not only generating new sales but also for converting their prospects by using your consultative approach and closing deals. You will be working closely with the Marketing and Development team to ensure you can maximise any opportunities and help push the company forward to reach their full potential. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Thinking of strategies to drive the business forward and being aware of where the market and industries are going
  • Networking with prospects across a variety of industries to build a profile of their requirement to set the foundations to pitch around their need 
  • To have a proactive approach to new business across a variety of channels and targeting a new pipeline of clients
  • To self-generate your leads proactively and efficiently by maintaining relationships across multiple industries
  • Targeting companies who rely on innovation and like to promote a creative environment
  • Interacting with decision makers across all levels through networking, marketing and cold calling
  • Successfully chasing  and closing new business, maximising revenue while ensuring the client’s expectations are exceeded

What experience you’ll need:

  • Must be technically minded and interested in software as well as innovation
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets within a Software Business Development role
  • Networking, relationship and partnership building
  • Must have a strategic approach
  • Experience selling into Enterprise businesses
